Meatloaf Recipe 

Meatloaf

Ingredients:

1lb ground beef

1/2 onion

1/2 bell pepper

2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/4 cup milk

1 egg

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Utensils:

Medium to large mixing bowl

measuring spoons

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, dice your onion and bell pepper, and place them in the bowl. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, egg, meat, and milk. Hand-mix then spread evenly in a bread tin.

Cook for 50 min. 

Meatloaf Sauce

Ingredients:

!/4 cup (per lb. of meat) ketchup

2 tsp. mustard

2tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2tbsp honey or Xylitol

Mix together ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, & honey in either a small bowl or in a liquid measuring cup. Pour over cooked meatloaf and cook for an extra 10 minutes.

Serves 5

Broccoli Bacon Salad

Ingredients:

2 heads of Broccoli 

1/2 blocks of cheddar cheese 

at least 5 pieces of bacon

2 boxes boiled raisins

 small handful slivered almonds 

Dressing

pour 2 packs of raisins in water, allow to boil then turn to low for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, after 5 minutes, strain and pop into the freezer. Cook 5 or more pieces of bacon then chop into bacon bits.  Chop broccoli heads into bite-sized pieces. Slice the cheese into small squares, put all ingredients into a medium to large bowl with a lid, and mix together then add Dressing (see below)

Dressing for Broccoli Salad

Ingredients:

 1 1/2 tsp. apple cider vinegar

1 1/2 tsp. white vinegar

1-2 tbsp. ranch dressing mix

1/2 cup mayonnaise 

1/4 cup sour cream

add to Broccoli salad and mix.

feeds about 4.

Book #5

The Inventor

There is yet another security breach between Earth and Xeracik, the first two planets to actually exchange intellectual information and form an alliance. The large historic oak tree on Grandpa's Texas ranch, which was being used as a portal between the two planets, has unwillingly delivered something to Earth. Yes, the tree was beginning to show signs of human emoitions! It actually tried to stop the delivery. After an unwelcome entrance to Earth is made, there begins a threat of an all-out war between the planets.

Rex Jr. is an innocent bystander who arrives at Mr. "Grandpa" Olson's ranch to see his uncle Rex. His uncle watches of Sam the tree portal, and when Rex Jr. comes over for a Thanksgiving cisit, he accidentally gets involved in the catostophic mishap. Fortunatly for all involved on both planets, Rex Jr. is a science student who enjoys inventing things and entering science fairs. He was named after his uncle, and ironically both have the same first name as the ranch owner, Mr. Rex Olson, "Grandpa Rex".

Grandpa Rex and his grandsons have been involved in the first four encounters and would rather not be involved in any more, but they do not have a choice.

If you were thrown into a situation involving visitors from another planet, would you try to run away, or would you be curious to know about these strange beings? Rex Jr. has always been wanting to figure things out. He is a little nervous when he is alone, confronting an alien, but as he stands by Sam the tree portal, he doesn't run away. He begins asking the strange being one question after another. It has been named Kitty B by Grandpa Rex Olson. As Kitty B does things to try to unnerve Rex Jr., Rex Jr just becomes more intent on understanding what is going on.

Through that tree, Earth was able to strike an alliance with another planet in another solar system. Who could help with this precarious situation? Could it perhaps be one of the humans who has witnessed the formation of an intergalactic alliance just last Christmas? Or maybe the hero had to be someone who knew nothing of the tree and how it came to be. Maybe the best person to help is an outsider becoming an unsuspecting insider.

Braden Oleson and his brother Cade just wanted to have a simple, normal life in their hill country home in Texas. They helped their grandpa out on his ranch that was further north from them with three alien encounters-first when the aliens arrived at Christmas holidays (the Invader), once the following spring (The Insider), and once last summer (the Intruder)

Now school was in the fall session. Football season began, and the two boys wanted to get back to their normal routines. Earth and a planet called Xeracik had made peaceful agreements, and in spite of constant human-caused errors, this intergalactic relationship had been going well, until a civil war began on Xeracik with one side not having peaceful intentions toward earth!

The large, historic oak tree on Grandpa Rex's ranch had been used as a portal from Xeracik to Earth. What's going to happen to it? Fortunately for Braden and Cade, their brother, Ryan is a secret agent for interplanetary interactions. Read what happens as, once again the boys are drawn into an alien encounter, the fourth one in less than a year!

I liked this book for multiple reasons, a few of them are as follows: I myself am writing a book that has to do with aliens, and because the way she writes it is intriguing, it leaves you wanting more after every chapter!

Parker Twins Mystery Series Book #1 Review

This is a book written by a Christian Missionary named Jeanette Windle in each book Justin and Jenny help someone turn to Christ in this book that someone is a teenaged boy named Pedro, He thinks that God is weak because our God loves and cares for everyone while his 'gods’ are strong and powerful. His great-grandfather was a witch doctor who called upon demons and false gods to ‘heal’ other people

The Cave of the Inca Re is cursed. Anyone who goes in comes out completely crazy... if they come out at all. Traveling with their uncle to Bolivia sounds awesome to 13-year-old twins Jenny and Justin Parker. But when they discover some greedy smugglers, the twins find themselves in a deadly situation where their only escape is the dangerous Cave of the Inca Re. Is God strong enough to save them from the curse?

Tips for you and your canine friend

1. Take them for walks in the morning, afternoon, and evening preferably at the same time each day so they get into a routine
2. Play with them at least once per day then give them a good brushing
3. Tell them you love them EVERY day
4. Give them a bath once a month or so (use either dog shampoo or gentle child's shampoo)
5. Pet them and snuggle them every day
6. Make sure they have fresh food and clean water every day

Helpful Tips for Your Feline

1. Brush Him/Her every day
2. Play with them (even if you have a cat that likes to be fat and lazy like mine) try to find a time when your cat is frisky and play with a string, ball, or even a nut (my cat LOVES to play bat nuttin bad mitten) 
3. Find time to love on them, pet them, snuggle them, play with them, or even just letting them lie on your lap or next to you and giving them an occasional pet will work.
4. If they do something bad say no ma'am or no sir gently then tell them how much you love them afterward
5. Remember your cat think humans are big clumsy cats so treat your cat at the same level you treat other people

Caring for Farm Animals

Here are some tips to make sure you and your animal friends are happy.

Goats and Sheep 

1. If you have a goat and/or sheep do NOT rub its head. If you do it will become a battering ram or buck. 
2. If you did rub its head and it tries to head-butt you, make your hand flat with your fingers together and take the side of your hand and hit the side of its neck (this will stun it). 
3. Make your goat (or sheep) a shelter to get out from the rain (we made one from wood boards and sheet metal) 

Cows 

1. If you have a cow make sure to go out to brush it every morning to every other morning as this will keep your cow(s) coat healthy and sleek. 
2. Try to make sure your cow(s) have plenty of grazing and playing room 

We had a horse who didn't have friends and his owner didn't come ride him so he was by himself and became untamed. When we were moving our cows to a larger area, the horse got crazy and was trying to get to the cows. So when you move your animal(s) if you are renting a place and there is another cow or a horse that is kind of wild, be careful when you are moving your animal and have an adult help you. (If there is a fence you should be between the fence and the cow)
